Our volunteers here at the mission are amazing people, some come in to serve supper once a week, others once a month and some during the day to help prep for the meals we serve during the week and weekend.
We also have volunteers working in the clothing room, they go through the bags of clothes people donate and hang it up in our clothing room area for our clients to choose from, they have a variety of choices from belts to shoes, purses, sheets, coats, boots, socks, pants, shirts and other necessities.
Many volunteers come in and help keep the place nice and clean, especially in the kitchen; there's mopping floors, dishes, the stoves, fridges and just keeping things in order. We also have a laundry room that is made available to our clients, it needs cleaning and maintenance weekly. On a daily basis we serve on average over 300 people for breakfast and supper, so you can imagine the work it takes to keep this place functioning smoothly and to keep organized, it takes team work and thats what we have with our volunteers. Thank God for our wonderful volunteers, they truly work hard and there's no way we could do it without there help on a daily basis.
